Founder & Director
Daniel Correa is the founder and director of the Day One Project. Prior to founding Day One, Correa served as Assistant Director for Innovation Policy at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, He holds a law degree from Yale Law School, a masters degree in economics from Yale University, and a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College.
Joshua Schoop is the deputy director for the Day One Project. Dr. Schoop has worked with various public sector and international organizations developing innovation strategies, conducting mixed methods program and impact evaluations, and researching and developing innovation policy. He holds a masters and PhD in International Development from Tulane Law School.
Erin Szulman has spent her career leveraging policy and innovation to address some of society’s most important challenges, ranging from nuclear weapons cleanup to STEM education. She is currently the Director of Performance Improvement and Internal Operations at EVgo. She graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Government and Science & Technology Studies.
