Ella Israeli
Ella Israeli is an advocate for self-determination for all people in the places they call home. She is pursuing a joint MSW/MSSP at the University of Pennsylvania. Ella comes to policy deeply informed by her previous direct service and organizing work in New York, New Orleans, and Philadelphia. Ella has worked as a case manager with newly resettled refugees and with people in the criminal-legal system. She also has experience organizing for climate justice with the Sunrise Movement and in anti-Occupation movements in Palestine/Israel. In her free time, you can find her walking her dog and making pottery.
Ella Israeli is developing a proposal to understand how policymakers and governments can work with individuals and communities following climate disasters in a way that supports them during the process of managed retreat and provides them with agency, dignity, and self-determination.
