Ash López
Ash López is a proud queer Latina is a socially conscious technologist. She is a fierce innovator and entrepreneur from South Central Los Angeles and was raised in the Antelope Valley, where she was elected as a state delegate for the California Democratic Party. With over a decade of volunteering, she has served on several LGBTQ non-profit boards. She also loves making the world a braver + kinder place as a youth leader with Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation and co-authored a New York Times Bestseller, “CHANNEL KINDNESS: Stories of Kindness and Community”, with Lady Gaga herself! Ash and her work have been featured in Paper Magazine, MTV Music Awards, and the United Nations.
Ash attends Santa Monica College where she is a computer science and computational neuroscience transfer major while working as a tech entrepreneur whenever possible. At the moment, she is currently serving as the AnitaB.org Undergraduate Trustee, is part of the Ricoy Neuroscience Lab at the University of Arizona, and is studying Artificial Intelligence through Cornell University’s Break Through Tech AI initiative at UCLA’s Samueli School of Engineering.
