Driving Progress for Global Development

On Wednesday, April 27th from 10:30 – 11:30 AM ET, we hosted an event to unpack opportunities to leverage federal policy levers and procurement to drive innovation in global development.

Building a 21st Century Evaluation Workforce Webinar

On Wednesday, December 8th from 2:00 – 3:00 PM ET, FAS’ Day One Talent Hub hosted a virtual discussion focused on Building a 21st Century Evaluation Workforce. The webinar explored opportunities to support agency evaluation and data offices working to implement federal learning agendas and improve the use of evidence in policy and decision making.

Procurement as an Instrument of Policy

​Our roundtable of climate and procurement experts discussed the underutilized role of the federal government as a strategic buyer to overcome market failures in scaling innovative solutions to climate change.

Rebuilding American Manufacturing Event

Our roundtable of senior leadership at the White House National Economic Council and U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services as well as a diversity of viewpoints across political ideologies from Breakthrough Energy, American Compass, MIT’s The Engine, and Employ America discussed competing with China on advanced manufacturing sectors (bioeconomic, semiconductor, quantum, etc.), supply chain resilience, and new visions for industrial policy that can stimulate regional development.
